Rachael & Jim
“Lady in red” was playing as they sat down on a youth dinner cruise in San Franscisco for their first “date” at 16. Â The sun was setting under the Golden Gate bridge, as Jim couldn’t take his eyes off Rachael in her little red dress. “I never will forget that dress” Jim said, 16 years later…
Fast forward 16 years, and Jim asks Rachael to spend forever with him. This time, on a Dinner Cruise in Destin, Florida, as he asks everyone to go to the bottom of the ship, so he can recreate their first date. “Lady in Red” begins to play, and they dance as the sun sets, and it’s everything they had been waiting for.. Their fairytale, and happily ever after, began once again, on that dinner cruise ship, the the ‘ole tunes of Elton John…
For their engagement session, we wanted to once again, recreate this moment of their first meeting. Sunset, dinner, wine and that little red dress… all things that remind them of that first date, and the moment Jim asked Rachael to be his wife. They will be honeymooning in Italy come October, so we found a gorgeous Italian resturant in a big city, to make this sesssion everything “them”.
Rachael- you are insanely breathtaking, and everything beautiful..
Jim- you are.. HILARIOUS, and made your fiancee fall in love all over again last night.. soo kudos, fist bump and everything in between for that! I can’t wait to capture your special day in October! Have a safe trip back to Florida.

WOW! Again, FABULOUS! Thanks for including the story, it made the pictures that much cuter!! 🙂
Jim & Rachael: these photos are just perfect as are the two people in them who so richly deserve a life time of happiness. There are not many times in our lives when we can turn back the clock and recapture a special moment but both of you have managed to just that; what a blessing. It is so obvious in the way that you look at each other that nothing will ever change this very special moment you express in your photos…how wonderful that your photographer has managed to capture such emotion…excellent. We love you both and wish you so much happiness together, Mom & Dad
Jim and Rachael, you both look absolutely stunning in these photos – hats off to Dayna Mae for capturing such tender moments of love. We’re already smiling just looking at these – you have found true love and may it only grow stronger between you. Philip & Jamie
I’ve shared these photos with a lot of people and they all say how stunning Rachael looks and how in love we seem to be in the photos, which is a great compliment to us and to the photographer. Thanks for the awesome photos and we can’t wait to see more of what you can do with those huge lenses. Seems like I can definately provide a leaning post for Rachael to look amazing on, so if we can just work in a “The Rock” pose in one of these then I’d be happy… 🙂
