Jayme + Mike | A Tropical Paradise Destination Wedding | Detroit Wedding Photographer

My favorite part of these tropical destination weddings isn’t the balmy 90-degree weather when it’s snowing back home, or the white sandy beaches that are the perfect accent to any bridal attire. My favorite part is meeting as a vendor, and walking away feeling like part of the family. Jayme and Mike’s destination wedding in Puerto Vallarta was no different.
Jayme and Mike were married on the sandy shores of Puerto Vallarta, and it was the perfect location for their dreamy destination wedding. As current residents to the windy city, (Chigaco) and homebodies at heart, they chose their wedding at Paradise Village because her family had grown up vacationing here since she was a little girl. Their sunset wedding ceremony on the Pacific Ocean with immediate family only was everything they’d hoped, and what a celebration it was!
Knowing Jayme years before, she contacted me about her destination wedding in Puerto Vallarta, and her wedding reception in Ann Arbor, Michigan at Zingermans Greyline Wedding Venue. From the moment we arrived at Paradise Village, we truly did feel like we were in Paradise. Jayme and Mike said they hated being in front of the camera (yeah, right) and two minutes into their wedding day, we were instant friends and walked away with countless inside jokes (gobble, gobble) and came away with some incredibly intimate moments from their wedding day captured to prove it.
Jayme + Mike, thank you for the endless laughter, for working your European modeling skills in front of my camera, and for making us feel like we were 1/2 as cool as you and your families. (who are insanely awesome!) Wishing you a Merry FIRST Christmas as Mr. and Mrs. Here’s to mastering the “gobble” call, and for deep sea diving with the Great Whites on your honeymoon, you wild animals, you.
WE LOVE YOU! Mele Kalikimaka 😉
blessings, Dayna + Matt
