This year, let me tell you, has been a year for the history books! The ups, the downs, and the constant…. my support team 🙂

First, let me say, I have THE most amazing clients and network of photographers, and friends! I know a lot of people say that,

but no.. I really do.

And Catie and Tim are WAYYY up on the list.

In February, my husband and I found out that we were expecting our first little peanut, and couldn’t have been more ecstatic! Two days later, my mom (and absolute best friend in the world, next to my husband) was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. My world was rocked with joy, and shattered with the temptation to be fearful, all within 3 days.

At our fist doctor’s appointment, they estimated our due date as October 23rd. I would be lying if i said I didn’t  immediately engage into all out panic mode. I was committed to 4 weddings within 2 weeks of that time frame, and had never been in a situation like this before. Thankfully, we had plenty of time to plan ahead, but the thought of disappointing my clients had me turned upside down.

I met with them in person to discuss the matter, and to assure them that I was not leaving them abandoned, and had contacted two photographers who are also dear friends, that I trusted COMPLETELY to capture their day. Catie and Tim were BEYOND supportive, and reminded me WHY I do this. To capture the love between people who are GENUINE, who adore EACH-OTHER, and life…. oh, and people who TRUST ME! And that’s what they did, they trusted me, and I could not be happier with the results.

For this wedding, two oober talented industry peers (and DEAR friends) captured every detail from Catie and Tim’s Inn at St. John wedding –Rachel Shomsky and Sarah Kossuch. I completely trusted them with my clients, and though it broke my heart missing Catie and Tim’s wedding, I was at home with a 10 day old, recovering from a pretty intense c-section, and knew they were in good hands.

Rachel and Sarah, thank you from the bottom of my EXPLOSIVE heart for capturing this day for Catie and Tim the way you did! For stepping up, and being there for me without batting an eyelash. Catie and Tim- your wedding day was STUNNING, and you two are two of my favorite people on the planet. Thank you for trusting me, and for your support! Wishing you two nothing but the best in this new adventure.
