Heather & Brandon ENGAGED: a session near & dear to my heart…
Years ago I met this girl on a blind double date, not knowing, that she would become my legit other half. The past 4 years have been such a journey for the both of us. We have been through some extreme ups, and downs, with these two things remaining, our deep-rooted friendship, and our extreme faith and trust in The Lord. She was there, holding my hand as my father died, as my husband and I bought our first home, through the long winded phone conversations, the laughs, the sleepovers, the deep-conversations at Denny’s dates at 2:00 am, the gallons of ice cream, boxes of Reese’s Pieces, the all nighters during her Master’s program, through all the laughs, and the tears, I can’t imagine anyone in this entire world that deserves to be happy, and swept off her feet, more than her. . .
Heather and Brandon met, and within a few days, knew that it was not by chance they met, but it was a God ordained meeting that though sounds crazy, would be the start of their happy ever after…
I, who’s use to being the voice of reason, the one who has been known to look around every angle and corner before jumping, made the choice to hear Heather’s heart. To listen before passing judgment (although I was tempted, to, and to be scared for her…)
But, I listened.
I just listened.
I listened to the way she talked about Brandon, not in a giddy emotionally based fairly tale way, but in quietness and confidence, knowing that she was not alone in this journey.
It was everything we had prayed it would be;
HE was everything she had prayed he would be…
and contrary to what skeptics’ may say,
life…. LOVE;
cannot always be measured by logic.
If that were the case, how do you explain the deepest relationship between two friends, or between husband and wife? Can you put love in a case and marvel at it? Can you see compassion under a microscope? Does friendship have a shape? No. But without these things, our lives would be completely empty; yet, no one has ever seen them, or proven them with logic. We’ve only felt them deeply and seen them in action; similar to the supernatural. Just because we have not seen God, does not negate the fact that we have experienced Him deeply and seen Him work.
With joy, and no words to truly describe my excitement, my best friend, my Heather Marie, will be getting married in 3 weeks, in our back yard, at twilight!!!!
I could not be more proud in their deeply rooted trust, in The Writer of their story…
I hope you enjoy these as much as I did creating them! One of the best parts, was we didn’t have to leave our backyard! 🙂
blessings, dayna

These are probably the cutest engagement pics I have seen in a very long time! I am so happy for this obviously very happy couple and I want to wish you a lifetime of love and happiness! Keep God first and remember, a couple that prays together, stays together!
Words of advice seem timely.
#1 Brandon, be prepared to often say, “Honey, you’re right.l”
#2 Brandon & Heather, “Learn to often say, I’m sorry.”
#3 Pray together (I don’t mean just at the dinner table.)
Love ya guys,
Dana
