Meet Ally + Brandon.

A couple who for 20 years, I’ve wanted to document their love story.

No, really.

Ally and I go way back. To the 2nd grade. Back to barbies, cartoons, catching frogs, snakes, and yes- the tonka truck + power ranger days. (you could say we were tomboys). We loved to draw in a tree fort my dad built us, and I remember Ally drawing a picture of her future husband. I think he had three heads, hair to his shoulders, and purple eyes. Which I must say, Ally, I am glad you found Brandon- he is much more handsome 😉

After school, like most friends do at some point, we fell a bit out of touch, but I was ecstatic when I got the email telling me she was engaged and would love nothing more than for me to capture it.

And, that’s what we did.

Captured the two of them, and Brandon’s adorable son, Timmy! They trusted me (which there is no greater compliment from your clients) when the place we went for photos closed at 7. We drove, then stopped at a random field on the side of the road in Britton and chased after some amazing light. It was well worth it, as these two couldn’t look more radiant together.

We can’t wait for their wedding at The Valley in Ann Arbor this May!
