On most days, you can find me making everyday moments a grand adventure, chasing our 4 little heartbeats around the walls of our home, texting while using too many emojis, loading up my “save for later” Amazon cart, laughing at my own jokes, and learning grace through my (many) imperfections.

I am a life enthusiast. Avid lover of Christ, tasteful PDA, and rice krispy treats. I’m the (devoted) helpless romantic, married to my very own middle school sweetheart (who ages timelessly), Matt.  Living out our life together through everyday mundane and magical moments has changed the way I capture, and feel moments in front of and behind the camera. For the past 13 years, I’ve made a living off of capturing the lives of others, and I truly believe there is no greater honor and intimacy to be trusted with.

My husband and I have a marriage and family ministry, called The Pause Pursuit, A ministry empowering couples and families to slow down to pursue God and each other. In a media-saturated world, the comparison game is real, but so is real life. The Pause Pursuit is a safe place that combines the two. Where real life meets the sustaining power and pursuit of a real Jesus. The One who is in the heart of everything I put my hand to as an artist & professional feeling catcher. Connection is felt through my work because of the way I see His hand in everything.

When I’m not collecting memories for others, you can find me creating my own, in spaces of pause & adventure (with my little family, of course)

McDreamy or McSteamy: McDreamy – duh.  My husband and I shamelessly binged Grey’s Anatomy during the pandemic and I will shamefully admit, we made it through all 19 seasons in about 4  months.

Now, to the businessy stuff:
I am a wedding & lifestyle portrait photographer based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. My little corner of the world, the DMP studio can be found in the charming historic landmark Nickels Arcade in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor. My work and writings can be seen in publications such as Style Me Pretty, The Knot, Love What Matters, and Huffington Post to name a few.
