It was 6:00 in the morning and Mike woke Callie up…

They were on a  summer getaway in the mitten, South Haven to be exact, where Mike had spent many summer’s at a family cottage nearby.

Mike woke Callie up to walk the pier, and see the sunrise together, something they had always talked about doing.

She wondered why he was so persistent about THIS day, until, at the edge of the pier, Mike got down on one knee, and asked Callie to spend  her forever with him.

So, we found it MORE than fitting to capture their engagement session at the very same pier, where earlier that summer, he asked her to be his wife.

This day was ONE of the TWO 95 degree days we have had this summer…. so we decided to wander away from the hot sand, and find some fun areas downtown south haven. Mike lead us to an awesome abandoned wooden church which I drooled over… What was AWESOME about this location as well, was Mike’s grandma talked about buying this church in South Haven and restoring it. So capturing the start of their journey in front of it, well, it just made sense. 🙂
