Strings Attached… For Life!
After my engagement session with Jamie and Natasha, I realized (again) that Engagement sessions are one of my favorite things to do as a photographer! I am a helpless romantic at heart, and this really gives that warm fuzzy feeling a chance to shine! Looking at this amazing couple I said, “tell me how you met..” My clients aren’t supermodels, although they could be, I still want them to feel comfortable in front of my camera, even if they are friends of mine, like Jamie and Natasha, and this is a great ice breaker! Jamie looked at his Bride and said something along the lines of, “Well, I don’t remember every detail, but it was the best day of my life” followed by one of the giggle kisses captured in the photos below ;-)Â (all the girls say “awww!)
I love using props in my shoots, and they always turn out to be some of the best photos, because everyone is just having fun and not thinking about the camera or how their smile is going to look blown up as an 11×14 on their living room wall! Everything is just more… natural.
Despite the INSANE MUD, frost bitten fingers, and the wind, we all had a great time 🙂 I literally sank into the field past my calf, good thing we all wore boots, but it made for a messy car ride home! Thanks Jamie and Natasha for being such superstars!
blessings, dayna
Matt came along as an added prop (ha) but really just to help out, and make Jamie laugh (he’s the jokster in our relationship)
He’ll be in Jamie and Natasha’s wedding in August! 🙂
He also snapped a couple shots of me in action…
….and our muddy boots!!

Dude, the pics turned out phenominal!! BTW, he said they met “At the movie theater…and it was the best day of my life” lol I’m just making sure the details are remembered for years to come. 😉
I love the eighth picture with the tree shots in it…and the one right below it…and the ones in the road…They ALL look cool.
